Overview
The Auckland Archives building at 95 Richard Pearse Drive, Manukau, Auckland, has been leaking for a number of years. Following a number of investigations it was identified there was an urgent need to remediate the roof issues. The proposed solution developed is to overlay the existing roof with single run, steel roofing, mounted on a clip system, whilst at the same time stiffening the structural framing. In addition the project requires the installation of new duplicate HVAC plant (with associated housing) and backup generator to provide redundancy and resiliency to the building services.
