CMDHB are looking for a competent and experienced construction company to deliver a multi-faceted scope of construction works, consisting of new build construction, refurbishment works and building recladding works. We are in particular, looking for a Contractor who has experience within a Hospital or Public Health precinct, and who understands, and can work through the challenges of undertaking works on an operational Hospital site, and actively works to put strict measures in place to eliminate the risk of harm or injury to staff, visitors and most importantly, patients.
The anticipated scope of works proposed under this ROI is outlined in detail below. This ROI seeks a contractor interested to perform the whole scope of works and is not interested in individual specialised supplier responses. The scope of works generally includes the following:
- Construction of the North Building a multi storey building (ground/first floor) which will house the following services Renal, Radiology, Breast Screening, shared staff amenities and office space;
- Refurbishment of the existing General Surgery, Pre-assessment, Phlebotomy, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Medicine Services Module; and
- Replacement of cladding on the existing MESH Building (Note: the recladding scope is still under ministerial funding approval process, this portion of work is conditional on the business case approval and CM Health securing project funding. CM Health will confirm this at the contract award stage.)
The tender process will be a two-stage procurement process, the first stage will be a Registration of Interest (ROI) to shortlist competent contractors from an open tender. The shortlisted contractors/tenderers will then progress to the second stage which will be a closed Request for Tender (RFT).
Please refer to the ROI document pack for details.
