Overview

Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) are seeking Registrations of Interest (ROI) from the market for suitable contractors to undertake a Traditional Lump Sum contract, for the Infrastructure Enabling Works to facilitate the future expansion of clinical services at Manukau Health Park.
Due to the growing population of South Auckland, and increase demands for clinical services, this is a high priority, and significant project for both CMDHB, and the South Auckland community.
The scope of works associated with this ROI is limited to the provision of onsite roading infrastructure, car parks, new site services ring mains, and selected building services diversion works.
This ROI is the first step in a two-stage procurement process. The purpose of this ROI is to identify a preferred shortlist of Contractors, who will then be invited to tender in mid-2021.
What we need
CMDHB are looking for a competent and experienced Civil / Infrastructure Construction specialist to undertake the site Infrastructure enabling works so that the subsequent building stages can commence without delay.
We are in particular, looking for a Contractor who has experience within a Hospital or Public Health precinct, and who understands, and can work through the challenges of undertaking works on an operational Hospital site, and actively works to put strict measures in place to eliminate the risk of harm or injury to staff, visitors and most importantly, patients.
The anticipated scope of works proposed under this ROI is outlined in detail below. This ROI seeks supplier interest to perform the whole scope of works and is not interested in individual specialised supplier responses. The scope of works generally includes the following:
- New car parks;
- Realignment of existing internal roadways;
- Installation of communications infrastructure;
- Installation of conduits and coordination with Authorities for the install of electrical infrastructure;
- Trenching and pits for new site services ring mains;
- Installation of inground stormwater and wastewater infrastructure;
- Installation of new water mains and fire mains, and associated tanks; and
- Selected services diversion works to clear the future construction zones.
Further detail of the above works is described in the concept drawings appended to this ROI.
