A new feature for the inner city, the Margaret Mahy Family Playground is an an all-ages playground which will create a major regional destination where people of all abilities can enjoy a diverse range of child and family focused activities. It will express the visual, physical and sensory qualities of nature and natural processes, with a focus on interactive play elements and spaces. The themes and ideas will create opportunities for new learning experiences across all age groups and abilities.
This opportunity is for a suitable partner to enter into an agreement with CERA (with provision for later transfer to City Council) to manage the facility and be the master concessionaire, and;
• Provide facility management services,
• Be responsible for routine care and maintenance,
• Provide security day and night at the playground,
• Manage non-commercial activities, events and festivals that attract people to the facility;
• Promotion of the facility; and
• Establish and operate a range of concessions and non-commercial operations on the site.
