The CDHB is seeking a main contractor with health experience to deliver this project within an operational area of the Nuclear Medicine department located on the second floor of the Clinical Services Building at the Christchurch Hospital campus. The project has 3 components:
• structural strengthening of the plant room above the department,
• reconfiguration of the department to allow the installation of a new SPECT-CT scanner (installed by Siemens)
• replacement of the existing heavy ceiling tiles with a lightweight alternative system.
We need a contractor who can commit the necessary skills and resources to this project, and has strong relationships with a group of skilled and reliable subcontractors. Of importance for this project will be demonstrating an ability to manage and plan for the constraints of carrying out construction work while keeping the department operational.
