Overview

The scope is for the consultant to provide detailed design services for the Southshore and South New Brighton Erosion and Flood Protection Works. The design shall comply with Council Construction Standard Specifications and the Infrastructure Design Standard. All elements shown on the consenting drawings and any required supporting infrastructure or ancillary works, are included in the scope of the project. The works generally include:

• Inundation bund for flood defence
• Rock revetment
• Cobble beach / soft beach
• Gabion baskets
• Road removals / reconstruction
• Drainage and stormwater management works
• Services and utilities
• Transitions / tie-ins

This is a dual Parks and Three Waters project with the cost relating to the edge erosion works being Parks and flood defences being Three Waters. There are several other pieces of work being delivered internally (such as landscape design) that will feed into the design project / contract documents.
