Overview of the Nga Puna Wai Shared Path and Roundabout Safety Upgrade

The Nga Puna Wai Shared Path and Roundabout Safety Upgrade project delivers a safer, more accessible, and more resilient transport connection for all users accessing the wider Nga Puna Wai Sports Hub precinct. The works respond to increasing pedestrian, cyclist, and vehicle movements in the area by separating vulnerable users from live traffic and improving the performance and safety of the existing roundabout intersection.

The project focuses on reducing conflict points, improving visibility, and creating a clearer, more intuitive layout for all modes of travel. By upgrading the shared path and roundabout together, the works provide a coordinated safety improvement that supports both current and future use of this important community facility.
