Overview

Christchurch City Council (the Council) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers (Prospective Suppliers) to provide integrated design services to support the revitalisation and long term rejuvenation of Whiti reia Cathedral Square, a civic space of regional and national significance.

The suppliers must demonstrate the capability, capacity and proven track record in delivering large‑scale, holistic public realm rejuvenation projects, including complex civic spaces of regional and national significance. Experience in a national and international context is sought while demonstrating local knowledge and presence through a Christchurch based office or partnership with a local supplier.

The Council is seeking organisations that can demonstrate experience delivering integrated, end‑to‑end design services across multiple disciplines, working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including mana whenua, elected members, CCRL and other community and advocacy groups, adjoining landowners, and technical specialists. The intent is to identify design teams capable of shaping and delivering a coherent, long‑term design vision that responds to cultural, heritage, environmental, social and operational considerations.
