The current High Level Design and bill of materials of the Data Network, completed by Cisco, needs to be updated before it is ready for the detailed design and implementation RFP. The purpose of this procurement is to go to market with an RFI to establish if there are any independent suppliers who have the capacity and capabilities in terms of experience and skills, to accurately assess our current systems and update the High Level Design and Bill of Materials provided to us by Cisco.
On completion of the RFI an RFP process or direct contract may follow to appoint a provider.
It is the Council’s intention through this RFI that:
• it gains a clear understanding of the market’s capability and capacity to deliver the Goods and/or Services
• it understands whether further efficiency, effectiveness and value can be delivered by Prospective Suppliers
• Prospective Suppliers provide information to help it develop the next stage of the procurement project.
