You may remember we were in touch last year about our new Procurement Policy and our Sustainable Procurement Programme.
Our Sustainable Procurement Programme seeks value for money for ratepayers, and also looks to use our spending to advance social, environmental and economic wellbeing of Christchurch residents.
We have recently implemented a new procurement framework to help us achieve the goals set out in the Procurement Policy.
We want to let you know about some changes this will mean to our tender documents.
Through our Sustainable Procurement Programme, we’re seeking sustainable outcomes in the services being delivered to us, and by us. We want our suppliers to share these goals, and make changes to their organisations for the greater good.
So in our tender processes we will now consider how a supplier proposes to sustainably deliver a service to us and how they support our outcomes in their day-to-day business activities.
