This work package involves construction of the Uni-Cycle Major Cycle Route from Ngahere St to Dovedale Ave. This includes the following works:
• Improvements to one signalised crossing (Clyde Road Crossing at Hinau).
• Improvements to two crossings to make combined pedestrian and cyclist crossing (Ilam Road Crossings).
• Development of a greenway from Nghere Street to Clyde Road by the installation of traffic calming devices.
• Development of a shared path through the University, Ilam Fields and Dovedale Avenue.
• Development of separated cycleways on Ilam Road.
• Installation of rain gardens in Dovedale Avenue.
