Christchurch City Council (the Council) is seeking Request for Tender from suitably qualified suppliers who are interested in making an offer for the supply of remedial construction works upon the New Brighton Pier, which was damaged in the 2010/2011 earthquakes.

The 'purpose' of the work is to restore the pier to pre-earthquake condition by repairing its structure (fixing or moving the 'plastic hinge' in the column structure), and durability (protecting the rebar against corrosion).
