The purpose of this RFP is to invite Prospective Suppliers to submit their Proposals for an automated materials handling and sorting system for the new Christchurch Central Library.

Christchurch City Libraries is currently in the design phase for a new build Central Library to replace the original building, which was damaged in the February 2011 Canterbury earthquake. The new library will span five levels and the lower level will feature an Automated Materials Handling and Sorting (AMH&S) system aimed at the facilitation of fast and efficient item returns for library users and an improved productivity output in the management of returned library materials.
