What we need
Bay of Plenty DHB is seeking to understand the number and type of providers in market who are interested and capable of supplying laundry services to the DHB; predominantly, but not limited to, Tauranga and Whakatane hospitals.
This information will inform the DHB on which government procurement process is the right fit for sourcing the future Outsourced Laundry Services contract.
This market research information is being sought to plan our future procurement approach.
What’s important to us
Respondents to this RFI should be capable, financially and with the appropriate infrastructure and distribution networks, of supplying, laundering and distributing bedding linen, uniforms - sterile and non-sterile, patient gowns, towels, etc.
Respondents to this RFI are expected to be able to:
• provide laundry services to Tauranga Hospital (360 beds) and Whakatane Hospital (100 beds)
• meet or exceed AS/NZS 4146:2000 Laundry practice
• deliver daily to each site and distribute within the hospitals
• demonstrate contingencies in case of laundry or transport failure
• substantiate their standing as a provider of professional, high quality and competitive services
• commence service provision mid-year 2022
Submissions are requested from providers capable of and interested in supplying this service.
Bay of Plenty DHB is particularly interested in receiving responses from providers who have innovative approaches to service delivery.
