Bay of Plenty District Health Board is calling for Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified Main Building Contractors (Supplier) who may be interested in tendering on a for the above project works

Scope
The Bay of Plenty District Health Board (Bay of Plenty DHB) is seeking to identify and select a preferred Head Contractor for the Whakatane Hospital, alterations and refurbishment of existing Boiler House & Workshops, being Building 23. The refurbishment works primarily involve removal and replacement of roofing cladding and exterior wall claddings, and includes removal of interior cementitious based wall linings and removal and replacement of interior cementitious based linings. There will be some general builders work. The cladding and linings targeted for removal have been identified as containing asbestos. The BOPDHB wish to remove and replace these claddings as ongoing building improvement and to remove the risks associated with asbestos. The head contractor shall engage all subcontractors as required to complete the whole of the contract works inclusive of Asbestos removal. The Boiler room needs to remain operational during the whole of refurbishment works. Works are to be carried out in a staged manner.
