Bay of Plenty District Health Board is calling for Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified Main Building Contractors (Supplier) who may be interested in tendering the above project works.
Scope:
Stage 3 component of works is for the ongoing refurbishment of Mental Health Services Building 20. It includes provision of a new secure admissions area, refurbishment of a number of bedrooms with ensuites, reorientation and planning of the staff and observation areas, reorientation and planning of the clinic and Medications room, addition of a doctors interview room, extension of the building to create a new Lounge area, and creation of a Whanau/interview room. Works will be carried out in a staged manner (current proposed 4 stages) to allow Mental Health Service to continue operation. Some beds may be relocated to Tauranga to reduce numbers and pressure on the service while the works take place. Careful management will be required to undertake the works including full separation of construction zones from patient areas via temporary full height partitioning and secure access points.
A number of the main subcontractors will be nominated by the BOPDHB.
