We are looking for a suitable supplier of medical services to carry out all Aviation Security Service’s (Avsec’s) pre-employment medicals nationwide. Avsec is New Zealand’s official national provider of aviation security and is part of the CAA. The purpose of the pre-employment medicals is to ensure Avsec job candidates meet the organisation’s medical standards in regards to physical and mental fitness to perform the role they have applied for. The successful Respondent will need to be able to carry out pre-employment medicals all year round, although there will be lower demand for these from the second week in December through to the second week in January. The successful Respondent must be able to carry out these medicals in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and Queenstown; prepare suitable medical reports on successful and unsuccessful job candidates; and be able to carry out these medicals in a timely manner. All Avsec pre-employment medical reports are reviewed by Avsec’s Chief Medical Advisor (CMA). We expect to require around 450-500 pre-employment medicals per financial year across the country.
