Franklin Local Board has prioritized the construction of a pedestrian bridge at Jutland Road in Pukekohe. This will meet the growth demand for the new residential housing developments by providing a safer walkway for pedestrians, many of them children on their way to and from the nearby Tamaoho School.

Auckland Transport proposes to construct a pedestrian/cycle bridge across the Whangapouri Creek to span the ‘missing link’ section of Jutland Road, Pukekohe. The site is adjacent an existing culvert that is informally used by the community as a crossing. The bridge and associated works are proposed to be entirely within the existing legal road boundary.
