The project is located on Auckland’s Devonport Peninsula between Esmonde Road and Francis Street.
Auckland Transport have completed a feasibility study and was updated in 2019 with the release of the Feasibility Assessment Update and Concept Report. The 2019 report outlined the preferred option of bridge structure connecting Francis Street to Esmonde Road. The bridge structure is a timber superstructure on concrete-filled driven steel tubes.
AT is now progressing the project to design phase and requires a professional services consultant to complete the detailed design so that there is enough information to inform the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board on the level of funding required to progress the project to construction.
