Auckland Transport (AT) is looking at protective wrapping solutions to safeguard its 15 Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) until such time a decision can be made on the best location and funding for a new paint booth.

AT currently uses DPF 6100XLP and 3350 Series 3350 Vinyl film, which is an anti-graffiti overlaminate, manufactured by Arlon
This product is
• transparent and allows for the artwork on the trains and Montrose boxes to be visible;
• has a life span of between 7-10 years
• portions of the wrap can be changed if damaged due to vandalism and
• has a fire rating that is approved by CAF
