Safety portfolio projects are typically under $5m which come under the minor projects’ category. Currently, procurement of physical works for safety projects is carried out via AT’s Physical Works Supplier Panels (PWSP). It has been identified that the procurement process can be optimised to be more agile to meet the demands of fast-tracked delivery of safety improvements on our network. This can also be expected to save time and cost as well as be a more collaborative approach with our supplier partners. The proposal is to select up to 6 contractors that meet quality requirements, from AT’s existing PWSP panels using a Price Quality evaluation method based on proxy schedules. This is stage 1 of a 2 stage process, see attached ROI for more information.
