This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified participants to submit a proposal for the On Demand Rideshare Service Trial.

This RFP relates to the procurement of number of end to end technical solution options for Auckland Transport’s on-demand rideshare service trial. Auckland Transport and our partners aim to provide a better public transport service and offer our customers a broader range of transport choices. Implementing further on-demand rideshare service trials is a strategic approach to improve the first and last “leg” connection with transport hubs and attract more public transport users.

We seek partners who act as technology experts by keeping ahead of technological advancements. More importantly, the purpose of the trials is to understand the viability of the service to a number of areas within Auckland including but not limited to Mangere, Papakura and Massey.

It is crucial that the partners will work with Auckland Transport in a collaborative and open manner to deliver continuous improvement of the service from the first day of service till the end of the trials.

It is expected that the suppliers will provide the platform and skills to effectively support the on-demand rideshare service. The success metrics include the number of delivered trips given a fixed number of vehicles, customer growth rate, customer retention rate and satisfaction score from both customer and driver.
