AT is installing a raised zebra crossing on Kolmar Road in Papatoetoe. This will involve the construction of a raised crossing, new side islands either side of the crossing, the removal of 2 obsolete bus stop markings and installation of suitable lighting. This location has a high pedestrian crossing demand. The proposed raised zebra crossing will create a safe crossing point to service this demand, improving road safety for pedestrians and other vulnerable road users.

Consultation with affected parties has been completed with a majority of responses received were positive.

This procurement package is to engage a capable contractor to carry out the installation of the raised table and associated civil works. This package specifically excludes the installation of lighting which will be carried out under existing maintenance contracts
