This Market Sounding (MS) is issued by Auckland Transport (AT). The aim of this process is to seek and obtain information from selected organisations for the potential supply of software development and support and maintenance services to AT.
AT currently has a primary supplier for these services and a number of other ancillary suppliers that are engaged, depending on the particular project and specialisation involved.
AT has a governance obligation, in accordance with its procurement policy, to provide assurance to the AT Board and the public that value for money is achieved and maintained.
It is prudent at this time for AT to conduct a marketing sounding exercise to gain an updated understanding of AT’s current supplier landscape including current rates and available capabilities.
The output of this market sounding activity will lead to one of three subsequent activities:
1. Direct negotiation with the incumbent supplier to agree future arrangements .
2. A closed RFP process to a select group of suppliers.
3. An open RFP process to the full market.
