Overview

Purpose
The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform contractors of an upcoming Request for Tender (RFT) opportunity for Technology Field Device Maintenance, Renewals and Capital Works.
This Advance Notice broadly indicates the scope and indicative timeline of the procurement. Depending on final approvals, it is anticipated the RFT for this opportunity will be issued on Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) in late October 2020 or early November pending internal approval.

Background
Auckland Transport (AT) has a range of technology devices installed across the transport network. The maintenance, renewal and installation of most devices is currently managed under the Field Device Maintenance contracts. The contracts ensure most of AT’s technology field devices that operate across the transport network function reliably and safely to deliver AT’s operational and customer experience outcomes. The total approximate number of devices is currently over 12,500.
A Market Sounding Survey was published in April 2020 which was a key input to the Procurement Strategy that has now been approved.

Request for Tender
The RFT will be a one stage process, publicly advertised and will seek offers from sole contractors (or Consortia of contractors) for the complete range of services required. Sub-consultants may be included in the offers.
