Auckland Transport (AT) owns and manages two heritage Kiosks, known as the Eastern and Western Kiosks, located at 109-111 and 117 Quay Street, Auckland (Kiosks). The heritage Kiosks present a unique leasing opportunity and a will serve as focal point of Auckland’s re-developing waterfront and downtown public space. The Kiosks are located within the downtown transformation space and will be central to the newly developed public open space opening access to the waterfront.
It is proposed that the Kiosks will be activated following the physical works completion of the Downtown Infrastructure Development Programme (DIDP). The service offering desired for the Kiosks is yet to be determined, however the current proposed use is as below:
• Eastern Kiosk – Transport/Tourism related commercial offering
• Western Kiosk – Environmental, social or cultural offering
Further definition of the desired service offering for the Kiosks will be provided in more detail when the EOI is released (see Table 1: Timetable).
Auckland Transport may make any final decisions regarding the service offering for the Kiosks at any stage of this process.
