Auckland Transport (AT) intends to undertake an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) request for proposal for upgrading of Puhinui train station into an airport-style bus-train interchange facility. The objective of the project is to upgrade the existing station to a high-quality multi-level facility to allow airport bus services to pick up and drop off passengers at the train station and prepare for a future upgrade to add a bridge and bus platforms for the rapid transit network, allowing paid-to-paid transfers between airport bus services and rail.
It is AT’s intention to hold a market briefing and invites an experienced consortium of contractors to register their interest by contacting AT’s point of contact Will Savage via Auckland Transport’s procurement mail box procurement@at.govt.nz .
