Overview

Takanini and Te Mahia Rail stations are being upgraded. This request for tender seeks to procure a suitalbly qualified contractor for the structural component upgrade including the installation of standard common elements rain shelters at both train stations. This will involve the production of shop drawings, fabrication of frames, fixings and the installation of these. In addition the proposed work will include the installation of light masts to the platform. These light masts will be provided by Auckland Transport to the successful contractor as free issue items.

Auckland Transport seeks to procure a construction contractor for the installation of two new common elements shelters at Takanini and Te Mahia Rail Stations. Each shelter will be the same construction but of different scales to suit each station platform. Foundation construction will be prepared and procured separately but the mobilisation of these works is programmed to occur ahead of these proposed works.
The new shelters will be installed during normal rail operations and Block of Lines. It is expected that this work will provide new and improved shelters for passengers at each station.
