Auckland Transport (AT) are in the process of implementing Eastern Busway Stage 1 (EB1) as part of the Auckland Manukau Eastern Transport Initiative (AMETI) to improve transport choices and connections in the south-east Auckland area. The project work comprises of signalising Panmure Roundabout and creating a dedicated urban busway and shared path for pedestrians and cyclists along Lagoon drive, across Panmure basin through a new bridge and along Pakuranga road past Ti Rakau drive intersection. As part of the EB1 construction, 80 commercial and residential properties have been acquired and will need to be demolished.
AT needs to procure a suitable contractor to undertake Stage 1 of 3 stages of demolition work and removal of demolished material to approved sites.
AT Pre-condition:
1 Main Contractor must be registered (if not already) with ISNetworld, AT’s Health and Safety prequalification system, prior to a contract being awarded.
2 Ability to meet AT’s specified programme.
3 New Zealand Demolition Asbestos Association member (NZDAA).
4 Prior Demolition, asbestos and meth identification and removal experience.
Please note this is an advance notice only of the upcoming opportunity. It is AT’s intention to release the RFQ documentation on or before 27th November 2017.
