Overview

Auckland Transport wishes to establish a long-term panel of suppliers to undertake critical Transport Monitoring Services in three separate Services Areas of Vehicle, Pedestrian and Cyclist traffic counting. The Panel will be split into these three separate service areas with the RFP evaluation to qualify individually for each of the Service Areas.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified Participants to submit a Proposal for each as many of the three Service Areas as they wish. Each Service Area will be evaluated individually. This RFP is a single stage procurement process.
The three Service Areas are:
1. Vehicle Monitoring Services
2. Pedestrian Monitoring Services
3. Cycle Monitoring Services

The panel will be managed by the Asset Management & Systems team (AMS) to provide for the improvement of existing area based contracts ending in September 2017. The Panel enables a modified strategy for work grouping and an opportunity for suppliers with experience and ability in pedestrian and cycle counting to introduce new technology to the contract.

It is intended that the Panel will consist of four to six suppliers who will provide monitoring services across the three Service Areas of Vehicles, Cycle and Pedestrians. AT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to appoint up to eight (8) Panellists as it considers necessary as outlined in Section 3.2 of the RFP.
