Overview

This RFP is issued on behalf of Auckland Transport and the NZ Transport Agency ("the Clients"). The intention is to establish an Alliance, being a professional services Alliance, to include the Clients, a Preferred Legal Provider (from a separate, current RFP procurement process) and a Preferred Planning and Engineering Provider (from this RFP). The Alliance will have primary responsibility to deliver the Alliance programme, in the period 2017 to 2022, for the completion of business cases and securing the route protection of the preferred transport network for the future urban growth areas of the Auckland region.

The outcome of this RFP will be the selection of the preferred Planning and Engineering Provider for the provision of planning and engineering services required for the Alliance. The number of constituent organisations for a Planning and Engineering Proponent is not prescribed. With the large scale of works and five year duration of the Alliance, it is envisaged that a Planning and Engineering Proponent may be made up of a consortia of firms and/or consultancies, including joint ventures or other partnering relationships, to provide the necessary services for the Alliance.

Group inception meeting
Potential Proponents are invited to a group inception meeting 2:00pm – 3:00pm Friday 28th July 2017 at Cliftons Auckland, Level 4, 45 Queen Street. This will summarise the RFP, provide updates on the Alliance programme and outline the procurement process. Planning and Engineering firms/ consultancies are limited to a maximum of four staff each and pre registration is not required.

Registration of Proponents with the Client Point of Contact (Tim Enright, AT)
Proponents, either individual Planning and Engineering firms/ consultancies or consortia thereof, are requested to nominate a SINGLE “Proponent Point of Contact” (PPOC) to book the RFP Interactive meetings (RFP Section 1.6)
