The Dominion Road Bus Lane Improvements and Double Decker Bus Mitigation works comprise two tenders – Phase A and Phase B. Phase A will be tendered approximately September 2017 while Phase B is expected to be tendered in about March 2018.
Tenders for the delivery of Phase A will be sought from pre-qualified AT1A (Major Road Works) Contractors.
Ahead of Phase A tender release, an Industry Briefing will be held to present details of the project, which is jointly funded by the New Zealand Transport Agency and Auckland Transport.
Phase A works (this Industry Briefing scope) comprises:
• Continuous bus lanes along the full length of Dominion Road
• New bus shelters and some new bus stops
• Adjustments to high street and side road parking
• These works are required to be delivered in time for the New Bus Network go live date late 2017 / early 2018.
Phase B works comprises:
• Village centre sidewalk improvements
• Neighbourhood bus interchanges
• Denbigh Road traffic circle converted to traffic signals.
• Canopy modifications for double decker buses.
• Minor stormwater works
INDUSTRY BRIEFING EVENT
When: Wednesday 12th July, 2017 at 12:30 – 14:00 including a light lunch and briefing.
Where: Potters Park Event Centre, 164 Balmoral Road (also known as Auckland Deaf Society). There is adequate parking on site or nearby. Bus services on Dominion Road are located within 200 metres.
Limit: 2 attendees per Contractor.

Attendance at this briefing is not a compulsory part of the project procurement process, however, we recommend it as an opportunity to receive important information about the planned works and to ask any questions that you may have.
