Overview

Auckland Transport wishes to engage a Contractor who has adequate capacity and relevant capability in management and maintenance of a diverse range of fire protection systems, including its associated equipment and interface systems. The Contractor will ensure the systems are monitored, assessed, overhauled and inspected appropriately and maintained regularly to retain asset value and ensure each system remains in a functional condition operating effectively and efficiently at all times. The Contractor will be proactive in service ownership and be both capable and fully accountable for delivering a reliable service. Further, AT requires the Contractor to mitigate potential risks, address health and safety issues, provide excellent customer service while ensuring public safety and adequate property protection. The expectation is that the Contractor will avoid any inconvenience to passengers during the course of undertaking maintenance activities including not disrupting business activities or Auckland Transport operations.

The Contractor is to lead and provide service ownership that delivers effective asset management and maintenance services, but not limited to, as follows:
• Maintain the effectiveness of purpose-built fire protection system at all times
• Provide asset condition survey and inspection services that assist in condition reporting, asset renewal planning and budgeting projections
• Provide regular and reliability-centred planned preventative maintenance services. Making good any performance deficiencies and equipment faults when found, ensuring equipment availability and quality performance
• Provide all monthly, quarterly, yearly, biennials and other essential cyclical components maintenance services including tests, inspections, surveys and overhauls ensuring full compliance and effectiveness of each system
• Provide annual clean and anti-rust/pitting corrosion treatment
• Support a wider network of integrated third party systems maintaining effective remote communication and undisrupted connectivity with other approved proprietary systems
• Maintain undisrupted 24-hour 7-day a week job response complete with correction, investigation and repair services including effective performance of all interfacing, interconnecting and associated systems
• Provide fault diagnostic service for failures and identify any unsafe equipment performance
• Provide annual Independent Quality Person (IQP) inspections, surveys and certification services meeting
