Overview

Auckland Transport wishes to engage a Contractor who has adequate capacity and relevant capability in management and maintenance of a diverse range of door units, including interfacing with fire, security and remote access control and building management systems. Each door unit is assessed, inspected and maintained regularly to retain its functional condition, operating effectively and efficiently at all times.

The Contractor is to lead and provide service ownership that delivers effective asset management and maintenance services for each door unit, but not limited to, as follows:
a) maintain adequately to deliver its purpose and be presentable for use
b) ensure ease of use is maintained and in safe working conditions at all times
• accessible for public use
• no difficulty in managing it while entering or leaving the facility, or when moving between spaces within the facility
• able to leave the facility safely and promptly in the event of an emergency at all times
• able to secure facility and restricted spaces properly as and when required
c) maintain an acceptable standard that complies with:
• relevant statutory requirements, regulations, standards and codes
• building warrant of fitness requirement
• fire safety design requirements
• controlled/remote access requirements and
• its intended use and function is as per manufacturer’s design, operation and maintenance manual
d) maintain effective connectivity and functional integration with other proprietary systems ensuring the wider Auckland Transport integrated network of systems is not disrupted
e) minimise cost of ownership. Unexpected/emergency call-outs or disruptions of use are kept to a minimum. High performance, reliability and availability are maintained and proactively provide parts replacement to mitigate any anticipated/preventable failures
f) maintain high customer service levels delivering sustainable and quality assurance outcomes
g) ensure minimal inconvenience to patrons, tenants, occupants and AT operations at all times
h) protect asset value
i) comply with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures, work permits, deliver relevant safe work practices and complete all relevant health and safety training provided by Auckland Transport, Auckland Council, Maritime NZ, NZ Transport Agency, KiwiRail and Transdev
