Description:
This project is to reconstruct the pavement on the section of Wharf Road from Te Atatu Road to Beach Road, Te Atatu Peninsula. This road section is planned for reconstruction in the 2015/16 financial year as part of the pavement renewal programme for RCD West.
Significant sections of the road are showing advanced stages of deterioration including cracking, flushing rutting and shoving. The reconstruction will be by means of placement and compaction of a cement and lime stabilised MR 9 subbase followed by a MR 9 basecourse layer and a grade 3/5 chip seal surface.
Pavement testing and design have been completed, refer the construction drawings in section E of this contract.

In accordance with Auckland Transport’s prequalification procedures this contract has been classified as level 1A. Only those contractors prequalified to or above this level are eligible to submit a tender for this contract.
