North Shore Rapid Transit Network Transport & land use deficiency and opportunity analysis.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued for Auckland Transport (AT). The aim of this process is to award a Contract to provide AT with Professional Services to undertake a Transport and land use deficiency and opportunity analysis to assist AT in providing formal advice to NZTA of its requirements as part of the Additional Waitemata Harbour Crossing (AWHC) Notice of Requirement (NOR) process and as a first stage prior to developing the Strategic Case and problem definition for the North Shore Rapid Transit Network.

The core outputs of this work are :
Three reports with accompanying technical analysis/model output
(A- Updated view on the life expectancy of the busway; B- Updated view on transport requirements for achieving strategic growth outcomes for northern Auckland; C- Preliminary mode option analysis)

A suggested approach and scope (breadth and analysis) for next phase of investigation based on the identified deficiency

Recommendations for AT and Auckland Council to address the question of retention of the KiwiRail NOR
