This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued for Auckland Transport (AT) on behalf of Auckland Transport , the NZ Transport Agency, Auckland Council and the Ministry of Transport. The aim of this process is to award a Contract for the supply of a Consultancy Team to take the role of Independent Advisor for the Auckland transport alignment project (ATAP).
Tenderers may propose a Consultancy with one or more sub consultant/ contractor entities.
Background
Through ATAP, the Government and Auckland Council have agreed to work together to identify an aligned strategic approach for the development of Auckland's transport system that delivers the best possible outcomes for Auckland and New Zealand. The purpose of the Project is to improve alignment between the Parties over the way Auckland's transport system should develop, including testing whether better returns from transport investment can be achieved.
The Project will assess alternative packages of interventions and recommend to the Parties an aligned strategic approach, including preferred indicative package(s), for the long-term development of Auckland's land transport system. The Project will include multiple workstreams covering a wide variety of transport planning and strategy issues. Scope of services for ATAP Independent Expert Advisor
The RFP sets out to identify a Tenderer who will be able to best provide AT with a Consultancy Team (Consultant) to take the role of Independent Advisor for ATAP.
ATAP seeks an experienced Consultant with relevant international experience to provide independent advice and review on Auckland's transport strategy, and who will challenge the agencies with practical new approaches to meeting the Parties' transport objectives in Auckland. This includes:
