Overview
This procurement relates to the delivery of payroll services to AgResearch and its employing subsidiaries (three smaller entities). Those payroll services include capturing the tax on payments to contractors, including Directors, although do not include calculating the amount payable to the contractors, which sits within the broader accounts payable function. Currently the payroll function is undertaken in-house by two payroll officers. In addition to administering salaries, wages and other ad-hoc payments, payroll are advisors to the in-house human resource team and AgResearch staff generally on changes to legislation and tax calculations, government superannuation, redundancies etc.
