Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand | Te Toka Tumai Auckland (formerly Auckland DHB) provides health and disability services to more than half a million people living in Auckland City, Waiheke and Great Barrier Island. Te Whatu Ora also provides regional services to the residents of the Northern Region, and highly specialist national services to the whole of New Zealand.
Te Whatu Ora is seeking to relocate the Taylor Centre Community Mental Health Centre from its current leased premises to a purpose designed unit within an existing Te Whatu Ora owned building, located at 50 Grafton Rd. We are looking to design a suitable clinical space that will sit within the existing space on levels 1 & 2. The current building is in a great location adjacent to the Te Whatu Ora (Auckland City Hospital) campus, with stunning vistas across Auckland Domain. As part of this opportunity, we are seeking to upgrade the building infrastructure to current standards suitable for long term occupation for the Taylor Centre and other Te Whatu Ora tenants. Both infrastructure works and internal refurbishment design will be closely linked to provide a facility that is modern, welcoming, pleasant, safe and energy efficient with underground parking affording tenants safe access.
The services we require are completion of the Consultant Services as follows:
Design Services from Concept Design through Developed and Detailed Design, Consent/tender, Construction Phases and Defects Liability period;
The scope of the building services involves the following disciplines:
• Mechanical – ventilation, Chilled and Hot Water, BMS and controls, Smoke Extract
• Hydraulics – DHW, DCW, Sanitary, Sewer
• Electrical – Lighting, emergency lighting, small power and distribution, LV DB and circuiting, standby-auxiliary power (UPS), earthing and bonding
• Fire Protection – sprinkler works, alarms etc.
