Overview

Airways Corporation New Zealand is considering options for the provision of SIP capable PBX equipment at new Nelson and Wellington control towers, being commissioned late 2017. ISDN interfaces will not be available at the new tower locations.
Currently at Nelson, Wellington, and throughout the country, Airways employ Aastra BP128i PBXs, which have ISDN interfaces and analogue and digital extensions. Aastra BP250 PBXs are installed at a few larger offices. The current PBX equipment was commissioned around early 2012. In future, the SIP solution for Wellington and Nelson may be rolled out for other locations as part of a larger PBX lifecycle replacement.
