We are reaching out to invite your organisation to explore the high-profile opportunity to light up the Auckland Harbour Bridge – through a strategic partnership with Auckland Council that could showcase your innovation, creativity, and commitment to Auckland’s future.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge is one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most recognisable public assets and a highly visible platform for civic expression. Over the past eight years, the Vector Lights partnership has demonstrated how lighting can bring people together around moments that matter to Aucklanders.
From 2027 onwards, the council is looking for a partner to reimagine how the bridge can be used to deliver impact and create public value.
We are not seeking a traditional sponsorship arrangement or a standard procurement outcome. Instead, Auckland Council is exploring a co-design, co-funded partnership model that brings together public purpose and private capability.
The council’s contribution is expected to be primarily in-kind, including facilitation across the council group, and alignment with wider place-based strategies. The primary financial investment would sit with the partner, alongside a shared commitment to public value and quality delivery.
As a first step, Auckland Council will be holding a market engagement event on Wednesday 4th March 2026.

• Share how this work aligns with Auckland’s broader destination and events direction
• Test market appetite, capability, and partnership models
• Enable open discussion before any formal expression of interest process is confirmed.
