Auckland Council provides a drop off service for a range of household hazardous wastes at several locations across Auckland. Prior to collection and transport to end treatment/disposal facilities and subsequent end treatment/disposal, the household hazardous wastes are stored in dangerous goods bunkers at the sites.
Council is looking for expressions of interest from organisations to undertake the collection, transport, and treatment/disposal of this household hazardous waste from these locations on the Auckland mainland from 1 July 2023.
This contract includes two separable portions and services as follows:
- Separable Portion A: Collection and transport of household hazardous waste from Council-approved locations.
- Separable Portion B: Treatment and disposal of household hazardous waste received from Council-approved locations
Contracts may be awarded for each separable portion, or as a combination of separable portions.
