Overview

Auckland Council is looking for potential suppliers who can deliver the following waste transportation and disposal services on Rakino Island and provisional item for Waiheke Summer Barge:
Prerequisite: Establishment of a barge (10m x 3.1m minimum)

Rakino Island:
•Provision of plant for the receipt and containment of Refuse and Recyclables for transportation
•Transport of Refuse and Recyclables from Rakino Island, including inorganic waste, illegally dumped refuse and abandoned vehicles
•Reporting and communication
•Disposal of all the waste collected above at approved Auckland Council disposal site/facility
•Contractor should provide and maintain receptacles and also adhere to operational practices to stop/minimize the cross contamination of waste streams during collection from wharf and transportation.

Waiheke Summer Barge:
•Establishment of barge (currently 10m x 3.1m) and receptacles
•Transportation of refuse and recycling as often as required
•Disposal of refuse and recycling to approved Auckland Council disposal sites
•Disestablishment of the barge and facilities
•Contractor should provide and maintain receptacles and also adhere to operational practices to stop/minimize the cross contamination of waste streams during collection from wharf and transportation.

The purpose of this notice is to identify suppliers who are interested in submitting a proposal for the required services through the Request for Proposal (RFP) tender process via SAP Ariba.
Respond by completing and submitting the attached Acknowledgement Form through GETS on, or before, 4pm, 15th of May 2020, to indicate your interest to participate.

The RFP will be carried out in SAP Ariba and GETS at the same time but only submit your proposal via SAP Ariba. You will need to have a valid SAP Ariba account to be able to participate. If you are not already registered, please register before 4pm, 22nd of May 2020. Please refer to the attached document ‘Ariba Supplier Guide – Registration’ that provides information on the registration process. If you are not certain whether your organisation has already registered on Ariba, please contact the Procurement Contact Person advertised on GETS.

The contract is expected to commence in July 2020.
