Overview

Removal, Disposal and Community Engagement of Illegally Dumped Materials
Waste Solutions, Auckland Council is seeking to appoint suppliers who will provide services for the Removal, Disposal and Community Engagement of Illegally Dumped Materials from 3 areas of the Auckland Region.
Currently Auckland Council delivers removal services for illegally dumped materials from across all regions to enhance the visual appeal of the city and to create communities that are clean, hygienic and safe.
Successful delivery of the services involves selecting the right suppliers to work with, including the most appropriate split of contracts and region split. This is to ensure that Auckland ratepayers are getting value for money for the services being received by them, through Auckland Council.
Arts Community and Events, Auckland Council are also seeking to appoint suppliers for Graffiti Removal and Prevention.
Illegal Dumping and Graffiti Removal and Prevention are very similar by nature as both deal with the effects of anti-social behaviour. Both services are high profile and of particular interest to local communities, councillors and local boards. Coupled with similar contract areas and operational requirements this gives Council an opportunity to gain efficiencies and economies of scale through a combined procurement approach. Such an approach would allow potential contractors to offer value by bidding for both services and more effective service delivery through consolidated services around community education and engagement. Both contracts will commence 1 July 2018
The procurement strategy is to issue two separate open tenders for the two services which will go out together and reference each other.
The purpose of this notice is to identify suppliers interested in participating in the RFP process for removal, disposal and community engagement of illegally dumped materials, and receive the Request for Proposal, due to be issued in mid-December 2017. The contracts will commence 1 July 2018.
Please download attached documents for complete details of the service requirements and to register your interest in participating in the RFP for Removal, Disposal and Community Education of Illegally Dumped Materials.
Please submit your expression of interest through GETS by 5 p.m. Friday 8 December 2017
