Auckland Council is currently looking to alter the model for which it uses to collect debt that has become overdue for a variety of bill types, excluding rate debt. Our Credit Control department are looking to engage flexible and innovative agencies to support the collection of this outstanding debt to ensure Auckland Council is positioned to maintain the successful delivery of services to Aucklanders and visitors to Auckland. What our team is looking for are agencies that at a minimum can align to Auckland Council values and priorities, collect debt in a timely manner that respects all Aucklanders, applies technology to identify gaps in our data and looks for ways to ensure debt recovery rates increase from our current levels. By engaging with progressive collection agencies Auckland Council will be delivering more with less.
The Council is preparing for a possible market engagement / tendering process in October/ November 2017. We are inviting all interested suppliers to a Market Briefing covering the following topics:
• An overview of the upcoming tender.
• What Auckland Council wants to achieve from its relationship with the selected provider or providers.
• Feedback from providers on the tender overview and innovations in the market that suppliers believe Auckland Council should consider.
