The Crown, through the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), is commencing a procurement exercise for LNG Import Facility services and related interface structure to improve energy security.
Through this RFP MBIE is seeking to appoint a Client Engineer to provide integrated technical advisory services.

The successful Respondent will support MBIE with multi-disciplinary LNG advice, as detailed in the RFP. This procurement represents a rare opportunity to help translate international LNG practice into the New Zealand technical, commercial, and regulatory environment.
The appointed Client Engineer will provide independent expertise to de-risk project scoping, inform procurement design, and ensure international LNG standards are applied in a New Zealand context.

Following an open tender process, The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) of 15 Stout Street, Wellington, is pleased to confirm Worley New Zealand to provide Client Engineer / Technical Advisory Services.
The Agreement was signed on 4 December 2025 for a term of two years with the option to extend for one further period of one year. The total spend value is $1-3M.
