This is a Physical Works contract for replacement of the existing pedestrian crossing on SH1 Otaika Rd with a signalised pedestrian crossing. The extent of the works is from RP 266/1281 Otaika Road to RP
266/1425, approximately 144m.
The Contract Works comprise of:
• replacement of the existing pedestrian crossing and associated blister islands with a signalized
• crossing facility.
• Design, supply and installation of signal poles, including foundations
• Replacement of the existing footpath on both sides.
• Installation of new uninterrupted Power Control (UPS) cabinet, Signal Control Cabinet and
• associated cabling
• Installation of detector loops, kerbside junction boxes and associated cabling
• Steet light enhancement at the crossing
• Installation of Traffic Cam detector and associated cabling
• Installation of warning and directional tactile pedestrian panels
• Resurfacing of the existing state highway approximately 30m of 50mm machine laid SMA10 asphalt
• Surfacing lane approach with red Calcined Bauxite
• Associated line markings and signage
Only tenderers pre-qualified to level 4C under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.
