Overview

New Zealand Post Limited, Fliway Limited, and Supply Chain Solutions Limited (collectively, NZ Post) invite suitably qualified suppliers to participate in an open Request for Proposal (RFP) for the nationwide supply, maintenance, and support of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).

NZ Post operates a diverse fleet of approximately 570 MHE and EWP assets across its nationwide network, supporting critical mail, parcel, freight, warehousing, and logistics operations. These assets play an essential role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient processing and movement of goods across our businesses.

The procurement covers a broad range of equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, ride-ons, walk-behinds, walkie stackers, scrubbers, sweepers, scissor lifts, order pickers, worker assist vehicles, and other elevated work platforms. This RFP forms part of NZ Post's broader fleet optimisation strategy. Over time, our fleet and supplier arrangements have evolved across multiple business units, resulting in increased complexity, duplication, and variability in fleet management practices. We are seeking to simplify our operating model through greater standardisation, improved asset management, enhanced visibility of fleet performance, and stronger supplier partnerships.

We are looking for suppliers who can deliver more than equipment alone. Successful respondents will demonstrate strong nationwide service capability, excellent health and safety performance, robust data and reporting solutions, commercial transparency, and a commitment to continuous improvement. NZ Post is seeking strategic partners who can help optimise whole-of-life value while maintaining the highest standards of operational performance, safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
