This Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Te Tari o te Pirimia me te Komiti Matua, is an open competitive tender process for insights into the disinformation landscape in New Zealand.
This request for trustworthy and transparent insights reporting will complement a wider programme of work to strengthen our national capacity to identify and address disinformation. This reflects a “whole-of-society” approach to build understanding and resilience against the harms of disinformation, and recognises the need to maintain an open internet and uphold the right to freedom of expression. These reports will be made publicly available, to help all New Zealanders to better understand the challenges of disinformation in Aotearoa.
