Auckland Council Group requires a Sole Media Agency partner to provide integrated media planning and buying services across Auckland Council, Auckland Transport, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and Watercare.
The purpose of this procurement is to appoint a strategic media partner who can support ACG in achieving greater effectiveness, efficiency and value from its media investment.
The agency will provide expertise across:
• strategic media planning and channel recommendations
• audience strategy, segmentation and targeting across local, domestic and international markets, including the ability to identify, reach and optimise priority audiences based on campaign objectives, audience behaviours, geography and available data
• audience insights and research
• media buying and negotiation
• campaign implementation and optimisation
• performance reporting and measurement
• emerging media opportunities and innovation
• digital media strategy and optimisation
• supporting evidence-based decision making.
Audience and market requirements
ACG operates across a diverse range of audiences, markets and communication objectives. The successful supplier must demonstrate the capability to develop audience-led media strategies appropriate to the objectives of each participating organisation and individual campaign.
Audiences may include Auckland residents and communities, specific demographic or behavioural segments, domestic audiences, international visitors and prospective visitors, business event audiences, travel trade and industry audiences, and other priority audiences identified through research and campaign planning.
For Tātaki Auckland Unlimited in particular, media activity may require targeting audiences outside Auckland and New Zealand, including audiences in specific international markets, as well as domestic visitors, prospective visitors, business event decision-makers and relevant travel trade or industry audiences.
The supplier must demonstrate how it will use audience research, data, market intelligence and media insights to determine who should be reached, where they are located, what channels and environments are most appropriate, and how media investment should be allocated and optimised to achieve the desired campaign outcome.
